Get to know Fee Langstone: Andrew Durrant

How long have you been working at FL/ Jones Fee?

I started working at Jones Fee in April 2011 after finishing my honours dissertation, and have been with Jones Fee and then Fee Langstone ever since.

What do you think sets FL apart from other firms?

Beyond the firm’s expertise in insurance, it has a genuinely friendly culture which makes it a great place to work.

If you weren’t a lawyer what do you think you would be doing?

I would probably be working in the finance / banking industry as I trained for that area at University, or perhaps having a go at being an entrepreneur.

Why did you decide to work in the insurance industry?

I was interested in working as a civil litigation lawyer, and there is plenty of litigation in the insurance industry. I have remained in the industry because I enjoy the variety and quality of the work. An insurance claim only happens when something goes wrong, and there is often an interesting story about what went wrong. It is satisfying to investigate those stories and help solve any problems.

What are three things on your bucket list?

Run a marathon, hike as many world famous treks as I can (e.g. Mt Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc etc), and learn another language.
