Andrew graduated from the University of Auckland in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance. In his final year at University, Andrew won the commercial law prize and a senior prize in law.
Since 2011, Andrew has worked on a variety of matters relating to property insurance, professional negligence claims, financial markets / securities law, other insurance related matters, and civil litigation work.
Assisting major insurers to resolve difficult insurance claims which arose out of the Canterbury earthquakes, including litigated claims.
Acting as junior counsel in the successful defence of a summary judgment application against a firm of solicitors who had allegedly lodged a caveat without reasonable cause.
Acting as junior counsel in the successful defence of a claim against a major home building company.
Assisting with a successful declaratory judgment application regarding the interpretation of a provision of the Building Act 2004 which was ultimately heard by the Supreme Court.
